I’m playing with some fabulous polka dotty papers from Craft Creations. They’re perfect for I’ve been really looking forward to scrapbooking my friends wedding. Their colour scheme is so vibrant. These polka dot papers have a fabulous 50’s vibe in keeping with the wedding theme. And I just happened to have this scrap of red polka dot ribbon saved from goodness knows what – I love it when that happens.
Designer Papers
Remember when polka dots were all the rage? I never understood why they fell out of favour. They are great for a little bit of pattern without overpowering the focal point of the design. And then the distressed polka dots oh my! I loved using those for masculine projects.
But alas, polka dots don’t seem to be in favour anymore.
And while I’m on the subject of fabulous trends that have fallen by the way side, what happened to Craft Creations? They used to do an amazing range of card and paper all availible in a wide range of sizes with perfectly co-ordinating card blanks and envelopes. All availible in singles or bulk with fantastic quantity discounts that could be mixed and matched, And all manufactured in the UK. I loved their simplicity and range.
Craft Creations are still going, they were bought out by another company a few years ago. But the range is unfortunately not what it used to be. These foiled polka dot papers have been a casualty of the move along with these versatile distressed texture papers.
Scrapbook Page Title
I love it when I can use an actual photo in place of a scrapbook page title.
Thankfully I had the idea on the day and took quite a few close up shots of the text the bus was displaying.
They made a really nice feature on the scrapbook page as well as providing the title.
I do hope you have enjoyed having a peak at my latest scrapbook layout.

What a great layout and loving these colors! I’ve always loved polka dots and still one of my “go-to” patterns for papers along with simple stripes. Like you said, they add a pretty design without overpowering!
So nice to see you joining in at my Crafty Wednesday challenge this month! Thank you for linking up!
