I’ve treated myself to the new Paws & Whiskers – Too Cute digital stamps from Polkadoodles. They’re perfect for Valentines and Anniversary cards. I’ve paired these cute digis with the Timeless Rose 6×6 Paper Pack, also from Polkadoodles.
Digital Stamping
The Digi image is from Polkadoodles, part of their Too Cute Paws and Whiskers range.

I print my digital stamps onto Ultimate Graphic 160gsm paper. It’s bright white so my colours really pop and it’s super smooth surface makes blending easier.
I’ve coloured this little cutie with my Winsor & Newton BrushMarkers. Here’s the shade’s I’ve used:
Fur
Ears
Nose
Deep Pink
Pale Pink

Designer Papers
I picked up this Timeless Rose – 6 x 6″ Paper Pack from Polkadoodles while it was on sale. I’m really impressed with the subtle patterns on the papers. I love using designer papers that blend into the background instead of pulling focus form the main image.

Die Cutting
I use dies to make frames around my digital stamps. I always colour my image first in case I make a mess of it.
Then I choose a die shape and size that suits my image and run it through my die cutting machine.
On this card I’ve used two different oval dies to make an oval shaped frame around my coloured digital stamp. The outer oval is cut using my Xcut Nesting Dies Oval Set and the inner oval is cut using XCut Large Nesting Dies, Scalloped Oval.
I think they look a little plain with just a white background so I like to use distress inks to add a bit of colour around my images. I use a Blending Tool to sweep the ink onto the edges of my die cut shape. For this card I’ve used Worn Lipstick.
Embellishment
I’ve used soft organza ribbon to embellish my card. I stick it in place with double sided tape which shows through the ribbon. I cover the tape with washi tape.

I love to add just a teeny touch of sparkle to my cards and I usually do that with a little set of three gems in one or two corners. I love how it adds a little bit of interest to an otherwise plain corner. I always use craft tweezers to make sure I get the teeny tiny gems perfectly positioned.

Greeting
I’ve used a very old Papermania greetings stamp. After stamping the greeting I’ve die cut a tag using my new Sizzix Framelits die set.

Take a Peak Inside
I think it’s such a shame to receive a beautifully decorated card only to open it and be faced with a blank page. So I use more of my designer papers to decorate the insides of my cards. I mostly use scraps leftover from the main design and a 10cm square of plain paper to write a nice message onto.
